Corey Spitzer

Project Manager

Corey Spitzer has been involved with the built world from an early age and believes in a hands-on approach to building investigation and historic preservation built upon understanding historic fabric and teamwork to complete a project.

Corey’s preservation experience includes exterior masonry restoration projects, scientific and hands-on investigation of existing structure conditions, field sketches and quick decisions based on unknown field conditions, and project management that respects the historic fabric of an existing building while allowing and the structure to remain relevant.

She has experience working in and on both City and National Landmarks and Sites and with cast iron and terra cotta façade restoration, incorporating mechanical systems into historic spaces with minimal impact (HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, fire suppression), roofing replacement, structural sealant replacement, and FISP inspections. She has an M.S. in Historic Preservation with a focus in Conservation from Columbia University.

Corey is highly involved with a number of preservation-related Board of Directors. She is the Vice President of the Association for Preservation Technology Northeast Chapter, Secretary of the International Concrete Repair Institute’s Metro New York Chapter, is a Director for Women in Restoration and Engineering.
